ALTAVISTA
Staunton River Park--Route 29 South to the Altavista exit. Turn left off of exit towards Altavista. Continue into town to the 6th stop light, Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left on Pennsylvania Avenue, go under the train bridge and then over the train tracks. Immediately after the train tracks turn right. Follow this road to Staunton River Park. The U12 field is between 2 baseball fields. The U14/18 field is at the far end of the park.
Altavista YMCA--Route 29 South to the Altavista exit. Bus 29 Turn left off of exit towards Altavista. Continue into town to the 6th stop light, Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left on Pennsylvania. Go one block and the YMCA will be on the right. The fields are located behind the YMCA. You may park in the large paved lot except on the first Saturday of the month, at which time you may park along the street.
AMHERST
Coolwell Field From Lynchburg--Take 29N through Madison Heights. You will go through 11 stoplights. At the 12th light (this is also the last light) you will see a Knights Inn on your left and The Indian Store on your right. Turn right onto South Coolwell Rd. Go approx. 5 miles and Coolwell Recreation Center will be on your left.
Coolwell Field From Amherst--Take 29S approx 5 miles. Turn left onto North Coolwell Rd (this will be right past Amherst Ford/Mazda) Go approx 2 miles and the Coolwell Recreation Center will be on your right.
APPOMATOX
Appomattox Primary School--From Lynchburg take 460 East to Appomattox. Take the first 460 Business Exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Turn right on Court Street (McDonalds on right). Turn right onto Ferguson St. and Appomattox Primary will be on your right. Fields in back of school.
Appomattox CVCC Branch (Old Elementary School)--From Lynchburg take 460 East to Appomattox. Take the 460 Business Exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Old Appomattox Elementary is 1 mile on left past Wilbun's Grocery. Fields and parking in back of the school. Entrance to back is just past the school off Patricia Anne Ln.
New Appomattox Elementary School--From Lynchburg take 460 East to Appomattox. Take the first 460 Business Exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Turn right on Court Street (McDonalds on right). Turn right onto Ferguson St. and continue to the stop sign. Turn left onto Lee-Grant Avenue. School is on the right. Fields in back of school.
Appomattox Middle School--From Lynchburg take 460 East to Appomattox. Take the first 460 Business Exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Appomattox Middle is 1 mile on right.
Appomattox Community Park--From Lynchburg take 460 East to Appomattox. Turn left on St RT 613 (Police Tower Rd.) Complex entrance on the right Approx. 1 mile.
BEDFORD
Bedford County Recreation Department--460 West to first Bedford exit. Go straight through four traffic lights. Take right at fifth light onto 4th street. Go under railroad underpass and take a left at fork onto Bedford Avenue Extension (signs will point you to Elks Home). Field is on right after you pass the baseball fields.
Bedford Elementary--From 460, take Route 122 North exit. First left past Exxon station.
Bedford Science and Technology Center--From Lynchburg - Take first Bedford exit and turn right off exit and you are on Main Street. Proceed to second traffic light and take a left by First Citizens Bank. Go three short blocks. Route 43 veers to the left and Edmund Street to the right. Bedford Science and Technology Center is located on Edmund Street.
From Roanoke - Take first Bedford Exit and go to third traffic light. Take a right turn by First Citizens Bank. Go three short blocks. Route 43 veers to the left and Edmund Street to the right. Bedford Science and Technology Center is located on Edmund Street.
Liberty High Schools--From Bedford at the intersection of 122 and 221, take 122 North towards Big Island. Liberty is approximately 2-3 miles from this intersection. Take first right into the high school parking lot. Field is located to the back of the parking lot to the left.
PASA YMCA--From Bedford take 460 West beyond bypass (Golden Corral). Take left on Turnpike Road. U-12 field located behind YMCA building.
BIG ISLAND
Old School Community Park--From Bedford take 122 to Big Island. Turn right on 501 S and field is 1/2-mile on left.
Sedalia Center--From Bedford take 122 N to Big Island approximately 12 miles. Take left at Sedalia Country Store. Field will be on the left hand side.
Elementary School--From Bedford take 122 North to Big Island. Left hand turn at Big Island Elementary School. Fields are behind the school.
BODY CAMP
Body Camp Elementary--Take 122 South approximately 8 miles to Route 24 East. Take left at flashing light onto 24 East. Follow 24 East for approximately 2.5 miles, and school will be on left.
BOONSBORO
Boonsboro Ruritan--Take 501 North Bypass (around Lynchburg) to 501 North. At light take left to stay on 501 North, then take left on Coffee Road (@Boonsboro Methodist Church). Ruritan fields will be on right 2-3 miles down Coffee Road.
Alternate Route to Boonsboro Ruritan--Take 221 from Bedford towards Lynchburg. Follow 221 until you get to stoplight at intersection of Cottontown Road and 221 North (CVS Pharmacy on right). Take left at stoplight and proceed straight on Cottontown Road. Keep right at intersection of Cottontown Road and Hawkems Mill Road. Stay on Hawkins Mill Rd. until you get to Coffee Road (which will be at the end of Hawkens Mill Rd.) Take left on Coffee Rd. and fields will be 1/4-mile on right.
Boonsboro Elementary--Take 221 toward Lynchburg. Follow 221 until you get to 501 North in Lynchburg. Take 501 North to Boonsboro. Boonsboro Elementary is approximately 1 mile on the right once you leave City of Lynchburg City limits and enter Bedford County.
FOREST YOUTH
FYAAPark--From Lynchburg via Route 460 West: Rt. 460 West to Rt.623 / Turkeyfoot Rd. (0.5 miles past light at Sunburst Rd.). Turn right onto Rt. 623. Continue for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto Rt. 811 / Thomas Jefferson Highway. Continue for 0.2 miles. FYAA Park is on the right. First entrance is main gate. Second entrance is north gate.
From Bedford via Route 460 East: Rt. 460 East to light at Rt. 811 (Exxon station on left, Sheetz station on right). Turn left onto Rt. 811 (Thomas Jefferson Highway). Continue for 2.8 miles. FYAA Park is on the right. First entrance is main gate. Second entrance is north gate.
From Lynchburg via Route 221 West: Rt. 221 West to light at Rt. 811 (just past the Forest Library on the left, 2.7 miles past light at Graves Mill Center). Turn left onto Rt. 811 (Thomas Jefferson Highway). Continue for 2.3 miles (0.5 miles past light at Waterlick Rd). FYAA Park is on the left. First entrance is north gate. Second entrance is main gate.
From Bedford via Route 221 East: Rt. 221 East to traffic light at Rt. 811 (1.0 mile past light at Rt. 663/Perrowville Rd.). Turn right onto Rt. 811 (Thomas Jefferson Highway). Continue for 2.3 miles (0.5 miles past light at Waterlick Rd). FYAA Park is on the left. First entrance is north gate. Second entrance is main gate on the right once you leave City of Lynchburg City limits and enter Bedford County.
GOODE
Bellevue Community Center--Take 221 N. to Route 668, which will be your first left before you pass the Goode Post Office. Remain on 668 for approximately 2 miles or until you see Bellevue Community Center on your right.
Otter River Elementary--Take 221 N. towards Forest. School is on right approximately 5 miles from Bedford.
HUDDLESTON
Huddleston Elementary--Take 43 South from Bedford towards Altavista. Approximately 11 miles beyond Bedford you will need to take a right where Route 43 and 24 split and stay on Route 43. Stay on 43 for 2.5 miles more until you get to Moneta Baptist Church where you will have the option to turn left to go to Altavista or stay straight and go to Huddleston. Keep going straight for one more mile then take right on Route 626/Smith Mountain Lake Highway. School will be approximately 3 miles from this point, on the right.
Ruritan Field--Follow directions to Huddleston Elementary but stay on Smith Mountain lake Parkway for another 3-4 miles past the school. Fields will be on the left.
MONETA
Moneta Elementary--Take 122 South toward Smith Mountain Lake. Travel approximately 12 miles from Bedford, and take left on Old Moneta Road. (1/2-mile past Moneta farm Service). School will be on the left approximately 1/2 mile from this point.
MONVALE
Montvale Elementary--Take 460 West towards Roanoke. Travel approximately 12 miles from Bedford and school will be on left. You've gone too far if you see any of the large gas tanks.
Montvale Library--Take 460 West towards Roanoke. Travel approximately 12.5-13 miles from Bedford and library will be on right.
Montvale Recreation Center--Take 460 West towards Roanoke. Travel approximately 14 miles from Bedford. Take right just before Old Montvale School (Route 695), and travel approximately 2 miles and Rec. Center will be on left on hill.
STEWARTSVILLE/CHAMBLISSBURG/GOODVIEW
SCG Recreation Club--Take 122 South towards Smith Mountain Lake. Travel approximately 8 miles to Route 122/Route 24 intersection at the flashing light. Take right on 24 West towards Roanoke. Travel approximately 13 miles until you get to a stoplight. At light take a right onto Route 619, then your next right just beyond the hop-in. School is on the left 1/4 mile from this point.
THAXTON
Thaxton Elementary--Take 460 West towards Roanoke. Travel approximately 5 miles from Bedford and take a right on Route 831/Thaxton School Road. School is on right 1/4 mile from this point.
Moose Lodge--From Bedford take 460 West approximately 2 miles beyond bypass (Golden Corral). take left at Moose Lodge. Fields located behind building.
CAMPBELL COUNTY
Yellow Branch Elementary (Fields 1 & 2)
Yellow Branch--From Lynchburg take 29 South. Yellow Branch is on the left at intersection of Route 24 and 29 South. Located approximately 8-10 miles on left past Lynchburg Regional Airport.
Timbrook Park - Take Rt 460 Get off on the Leesville Road exit. Turn Left if you are coming from the west and Right if you are coming from the east. The park is about 1/2 mile on the Right.
Rustburg Elementary - Take Rt 501 south to Rustburg. Pass through the village of Rustburg, the school is on the left past the Rescue Squad. Or Take Rt 29 south toward Altavista, Turn Right at Fosters Fuel which is at the intersection of Calohan Road and Rt 29. Go to the next stop light at the intersection of Route of 24. Turn right onto Rt 24 toward Rustburg. And follow Rt 24 into Rustburg. The school is on the Right just past Jack's Place.
